What is Heifer In Your Tank?
There's a Heifer in Your Tank is a product of the Animal Science 200 class at the University of Alberta. Rather than writing reports and essays for the professors, students become the experts on a quirky question from animal agriculture and present it to an audience from the general public. Students are actively participating in creating agriculture awareness and educating the public on where their food comes from.
Every wonder 'If a hen defecates and lays and egg from the same opening, why is an egg laid sparkling clean?' or 'Why cows eat their placenta, is it peer pressure or do they like the taste?' or 'If your car ran on the methane produced by a cow in one day how far could you get?' (The original Quirky Question).
Answers are presented by students twice a year, watch for our upcoming events. Check some past presentations here!
