We are excited to bring back the  Chautauqua to Alberta on November 8th, 2011!

So what is a Chautauqua?

Chautauqua (shə-taw-kwə) is an rural education movement that swept across North America around the turn of the 20th Century and into the mid-1920's. The Chautauqua gathered people from the region to be entertained and educated by speakers, musicians, performers, teachers and specialists. Many people from the older generation remember the travelling Chautauqua arriving in their small town. In 1918, 294 Chautauqua's took place in towns across western Canada. Join us on November 8th, 2011 in Edmonton, Alberta!
